  15. My favourite memory is from when I was young. My moms side of the family lived almost 4 hours away. We would only visit a couple of times a year and Christmas was one of those times. My uncle dressed up as Santa Claus to surprise us. He looked like the real deal!! He grew a full beard (naturally) and it was grey too!! He did that for years for us and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We sure do miss it (since he as passed away).

  23. Everyone always came to our house after church. A neighbor always was Santa with a huge bag of presents for the kids the parents had given ahead of time. things changed a lot when my father died and have stopped for us since our mother's death. Those were the happiest of times and ones I miss.

  24. One of my favourite holiday memories is when I was a little girl about 8 or 9 my whoooole family (Grandma, her five kids & their five partners and ALL of their kids) all travelled to an out of town aunt and uncles house for Christmas Eve & about 90% of us all stayed the night. We slept everywhere in her big house and the next morning we had a huuuuge big breakfast with homemade pancakes, homemade bread/toast, the whole nine. It was awesome.
