I am so excited to share with you all today the cover reveal of my latest contemporary romance novel, Walking Sam. And even more exciting - you can now pre-order it on Amazon Kindle!

Walking Sam
Cover design by Tugboat Design

Deanna Lynn Sletten

Book Description:

Love isn’t always a walk in the park…

Ryan Collier has lived a quiet life with his golden retriever, Sam, and two orange tabbies since the death of his wife nearly three years ago. His friends and family are encouraging him to move on and find someone to share his life with, but Ryan feels he’ll never find anyone he’ll love as much as his wife. Ryan reluctantly starts going out on weekends, and soon finds that not only have women changed, but also the rules of dating. He’s longing for a fulfilling relationship but everyone he meets only want one-night stands. Then, Kristen moves in next door and he finds they have a lot in common. There’s only one problem—she’s not available.

Kristen Foster craves a peaceful place to call home. With her stressful job as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse and a failed marriage behind her, she doesn’t want any more drama in her life. Then her casual boyfriend—a surgeon—proposes to her. And she finds that the widower next door is a thirty-something, handsome man who seems to have his choice of young women every weekend. His only redeeming quality is his beautiful dog, Sam. But as she gets to know Ryan, Kristen is drawn to him. She finds herself struggling to choose between the dependable surgeon or the man she believes is the neighborhood playboy.

Can Sam’s furry charm bring Ryan and Kristen together?

Walking Sam is a heartwarming story of two people who have to let go of the past in order to see what’s right in front of them.

Memories Gets A New Look!

Hi all,

I'm so excited to share with you the new book cover for my romance novel, MEMORIES. The old cover was nice, but I love this new cover. The romance genre is always changing and I felt the old cover was already outdated and not holding its own against all the new books out there. So, Deborah at  Tugboat Design and I got together and put together a cover I feel is in line with its genre as well as appealing to look at. I think it turned out beautiful!

If you haven't had a chance yet to read Memories, you can pick it up now until the end of June for only $0.99!

Cheers,
Deanna

Destination Wedding ~ Now in Paperback!

Hi all,

I'm excited to announce that my latest novel, DESTINATION WEDDING, is now available in paperback on Amazon or at CreateSpace. It is also available on Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook.

I love the full cover for Destination Wedding, created by Deborah at Tugboat Design. She also did an amazing job formatting the novel for CreateSpace.

DESTINATION WEDDING is a fun romance novel set on a beautiful tropical island. Here is the book description:

Life is full of surprises…

Claire Martin's life is perfect, or at least she tells herself it is. She owns a successful clothing boutique, has a steady, dependable boyfriend, and a beautiful grown daughter who is about to be married. Sure, Claire's husband of twenty years left her for a younger woman four years ago, but that is all in the past. Now, Claire is looking forward to her daughter's Bahama wedding and spending a week in paradise. The only thing Claire dreads is her ex-husband and his wife will also be on the island. Claire is determined to make the best of it, though. What Claire doesn't realize is ignoring her ex-husband for the week is going to be impossible.

James Martin's life is a mess. His wife of less than four years has made him the most miserable man on earth and now they are in the middle of a messy divorce. He's happy that he can forget her for a week as he goes off to the Bahamas to attend his lovely daughter's wedding. Jim is embarrassed to admit to his daughter and his ex-wife, Claire, that he made the biggest mistake of his life when he left her for another woman, so he makes up a story as to why his new wife didn't come along. When he and Claire are unexpectedly forced upon each other, Jim soon realizes what he's lost and he begins to wonder if he can find a way back into Claire's heart.

Buy Destination Wedding at these retailers:

Amazon Paperback $11.99

CreateSpace Paperback $11.99

Amazon Kindle $3.99

DESTINATION WEDDING is going on tour soon! Be on the lookout for the tour schedule in June.

Cover Reveal - Maggie's Turn

Hi all,

I'm excited to share the new cover for my next novel, MAGGIE'S TURN. Deborah at Tugboat Design created this cover for me, just as she has created covers for all of my novels. I just love it! The colors are beautiful. If all goes well, MAGGIE'S TURN will be available on Amazon Kindle August 1, 2013. I will also be creating a paperback version of this novel as well.

MAGGIE'S TURN is a contemporary women's fiction/family drama novel.

Book Description:

Sometimes you just have to walk away…to rediscover who you are.

Maggie Harrison is a devoted wife and mother, always putting the needs of her family ahead of her own. Then, one day, without planning to, she drives away, leaving behind an indifferent husband and two sulking teenagers. Maggie goes off on a quest of self-exploration, enjoying adventures, meeting new people, and rediscovering her passions. For the first time in years, she dreams about what she wants out of life, and she realizes that her deteriorating marriage can no longer continue as it is. Can she and Andrew repair their floundering relationship, or is their marriage over?

Andrew Harrison likes his life to be in perfect order. He enjoys his work and status in the community, leaving Maggie to take care of everything at home. He knows his marriage isn't perfect. But after twenty-three years and two kids, whose marriage is? When Maggie leaves without a word, he is forced to start paying more attention to his home life and his almost grown children, and he begins to do a little self-exploration of his own. Slowly, he begins to understand what drove Maggie away, and how important she is in his life. Is it too late to resolve their differences and save their marriage? Or will Andrew lose Maggie forever?

The first chapter of MAGGIE'S TURN can be read here.

Book Cover Reveal for Sara's Promise!

Hi all,

I am so excited about the new book cover that Tugboat Design created for my upcoming novel, SARA'S PROMISE. If you follow this blog regularly, you have probably already seen it, but this is the official reveal!

I just love this cover. Deborah at Tugboat Design took my ideas and story and did an excellent job of creating a cover I love. I hope all of you like the new cover as well!

Sara's Promise is a women's fiction/romance novel and will be available in December 2012. I plan on publishing it to Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook and in paperback - hopefully simultaneously. Here is the book description for Sara's Promise:

Do you believe in soul mates?

William Grafton had the perfect life. He had a lovely wife, Sara, and two wonderful children. But one day his perfect forever was shattered when Sara died suddenly, leaving him alone to raise his children and figure out how he would ever get through life without his one true love. Five years later, he finds himself looking into a familiar pair of blue-green eyes that remind him of Sara. The woman is the exact opposite of Sara, yet he finds he is drawn to her. But a few odd events occur that make him begin to wonder – has his Sara truly come back to him as she once promised in the form of this new woman? And can he let go of Sara to open his heart to a new love in his life and a new forever?

Does love last forever – even in death?

Annie Paxton doesn't believe in soul mates or fate. She had watched her father die of a broken heart after her mother passed away and has since cast away any fairy tale ideas of love. Then she meets the man who has been haunting her dreams, and she begins to see love in a whole new light. But her dream man is still tied to his deceased wife, and Annie doesn't know if he will ever be able to break away from his past. As strange occurrences unfold, Annie wonders if William could ever truly love her for herself and not for the traits that remind him of Sara.

Were William and Annie brought together by fate, coincidence or by Sara keeping her promise?

*****

I look forward to sharing this beautiful love story with you in December.
